2017-02-16 Thu

Almost 700 metric tonnes of gold reserves are being returned back to Germany from New York and Paris. The plan is to repatriate almost 50 percent of the gold that remains in locations outside Germany. 330 metric tonnes of gold has been shifted from Yew York. 100 metric tonnes of gold will be shifted from Paris to Germany. The reserves were kept in different locations because of the fear that they would be captured by the Soviet.

The other half of the reserves will be maintained at New York and London.
