What do you generally do to celebrate the first birthday of a little one? Call for celebrations, order a grand cake, set up the mood for the day with a few good reasons to laugh, indulge in fun-n-frolic and make it a memorable one! The Bhutanese Royal family thinks a bit royally! The first birth anniversary of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck will be celebrated by Bhutan with the release of NU. 100 denomination commemorative banknotes by the end of 2017.The note features the message “Commemorating the First Birth Anniversary of HRH The Gyalsey”. The prefix is “RB” for Royal Birth. Improved additional security features include MicroPerf, E-type, SPARK Truspin and see-through register. The national colours, yellow and orange are used predominantly. 1,000,000 notes will be printed through a Swiss printing company named Orell Fussli.
The design was officially launched on 5th February 2017. Happy Birthday to the Little Prince of one of the happiest environment-friendly nations of the world – Bhutan!
