Heritage’s 2016 Auctions Made $850 Million

An 1894-S Barber dime was sold for slightly less than $2 million at the 2016 FUN auctions and it is one of the most expensive bids by Heritage in 2016. Heritage Auctions made a total of $850 million in 2016 which is less than the firm’s $860 million-mark for 2015. The 2016 number is also the third highest ever for the auction houseUS Coins were sold for $190 million in total which makes up 56 percent of the entire U.S. coin auctions market for 2016. World coins made $47 million and paper money auctions made $29 million.
2017 FUN convention auctions made $70 million in January alone. Heritage officials are looking forward to a good 2017 run as well.
