Australia’s First Gold Dome-Shaped Coin

The Royal Australian Mint released a new dome-shaped one-ounce gold coin celebrating southern hemisphere’s cosmic wonders. The coin is a part of the Celestial Dome two-coin series.Domed coins with astronomical designs have a high demand just like the coins issued under the Southern Sky and Northern Sky series which were sold out within days.
The beauty of the night sky is recreated on the new coin using modern minting techniques. The mintage limit is 750 and it can be purchased for AU$2600.
