Dinosaurs in Laos!
2017-01-28 Sat
Postes Laos had issued commemorative sets of stamps on Dinosaurs on 03rd March 1988, 08th December 1994 and 20th February 1995 respectively under the theme of Prehistoric Animals. These stamps are very beautiful to look at and show these majestic animals who once ruled our land in their natural habitats. While the 1998 and 1995 stamps show them as ferocious prey-seeking animals, the 1994 stamps show them as cute and friendly animals.
The stamp sets have images of the following dinosaurs: Trachodon (a dubious genus of hadrosaurid dinosaur), Ceratosaurus Nasicornus ( a large predatory theropoddinosaur from the Late Jurassic Period ), Iguanodon Bernissartensis (a genus of ornithopod dinosaur), Scolosaurus (an extinctgenus of ankylosauriddinosaurs), Phororhacus (an extinct, giant flightless predatory bird), Tyrannosaurus (a genus of coelurosauriantheropod dinosaur), Theropoda (a group of saurischiandinosaurs) and Sauropoda (an infra-order of saurischian). The denomination value of these stamps is between 3 Laos Kip to 600 Laos Kip.
