Fractional versions of US mint’s 2017 Proof American Buffalo .9999 fine gold coins might be issued soon. $25 face-value half-ounce, $10 quarter-ounce and $5 tenth-ounce gold coins along with the annual 1-ounce $50 coin were issued once in 2008 at West Point mint. The decision was officially considered at the Numismatic Forum the Mint in Philadelphia on 13th October 2016.
