Bronze Medal Honours Jacob J. Lew as 76th Treasury Secretary

The US Mint released a 3-inch bronze medal for $39.95 honouring 76th secretary of the Treasury, Jacob J. Lew through a private ceremony on 12th January at the main Treasury Building. Lew joined office on 28th February 2013.The obverse features Lew, the American flag, the inscriptions JACOB J. LEW and 76TH SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY. The reverse features the Statue of Liberty holding a tablet of law in the left hand, the date July 4, 1776 marking American independence, the Administration Building on Ellis Island, the inscriptions I LIFT / MY LAMP / BESIDE / THE / GOLDEN / DOOR, the last line of a 1883 poem called “The New Colossus” by poet Emma Lazarus, and the inscription EMMA / LAZARUS.
