As per official reports, it will take 6 months to upgrade Saudi ATM machines for dispensing the 6th edition notes that were revealed on 14th December and circulated on 26th December with new dimensions and security marks. Cash machines could not accept the new banknotes almost 14 days after they entered circulation. The process for re-calibrating the ATMs would begin very soon.
