2017-01-17 Tue
The Colossal Squid has been mentioned in several folklores since many years and is often referred as the Kraken. As per the legends, they attack men and emit a foul stench that escapes from its lungs. In reality, the Colossal Squid does not really emit such a ‘foul’. The squid can grow up to 14m in length and weigh up to 750kg. It also has the largest documented eye in the animal kingdom with a diameter of 30 cm.
The reverse features a colossal squid swimming inside the sea. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The Titanium coin comes in an acrylic capsule in a red box with a Certificate of Authenticity. The .990 Fine Blue Titanium 10.00 g coin has a mintage limit of 7,500. Titanium reacts differently with every strike making each coin unique.
