Michael Fuljenz Receives the Numismatic Ambassador Award by FUN

On 6th January, the Numismatic Ambassador Award was given to Michael Fuljenz at the FUN convention in Ft. Lauderdale. The Award was introduced in 1974 by Krause Publications President Clifford Mishler and sponsored by Numismatic News for many years, but now is sponsored by FUN.

Mr. Fuljenz has won more than 60 national and regional awards for his education and protection work in coinage. He sponsors the ANA Farran Zerbe Award. He is also a member of the PNG Accredited Precious Metals Dealer program. Here received the Sol Kaplan Award by PNG for helping to fight numismatic-related crimes.

He is also a consultant to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), United States Mint and Royal Canadian Mint, and is on the Boards of Directors of the Council For Tangible Assets and Crime Stoppers of Beaumont, Texas. McNeese State University awarded him the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters. He was elected as President of the Southwest Louisiana Coin Club for four times and was the Chairman of the Louisiana State Numismatic Association coin show.
