The Czech Republic featured its traditional carpet making profession on a commemorative stamp.Issued in the year of 2010 these stamps depict two of the major regional groups of carpets making industry.

‘Karabakh carpets’ came from Transcaucasia, a region defined in terms of ethnography as the area of today's Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. These carpets are characterized by bright colours, with prevalent red, blue, white, yellow and green, the typical Karabakh flowers. 21 Czech Koruna stamp is designed from the carpet from Náprstek's Museum.

Celaberd carpets are the best known as eagle kazak. The carpet shows a two-headed eagle woven in the large central radial design. These carpets mainly have shining red ground counterbalanced with calmer changing shades of green and blue, blue, and yellow. The 24 Czech Koruna stamp is based on the design on the carpet in National Gallery in Prague.

Carpet-weaving was historically a traditional profession. Hence, to sustain it as an intangible heritage Czechoslovakia put them on the stamps to create awareness.
