Earliest-known Cancelled Christmas Seals Discovered
2016-12-24 Sat
Early Christmas seals were shipped in November from 1908 to 1935 without a release date. Two new EKUs were reported by George Painter this year. A unique postcard cancelled on 23rd November 1921 using the sender’s own handwriting has been recorded to be the earliest one. Another 1933 seal, dated 19th October shows that the user accessed the seals during the production process and used them on this cover before distribution.Latest News
