Muhammad bin Tughluq was a Sultan of Delhi. He had ruled Delhi from 1325-1351. He was the eldest son of Ghiyas-ud-din Tughluq. He was skilled in various languages like Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Sanskrit. He came to the throne after the death of his father Ghiyas-du-din Tughluq.Muhammad bin Tughluq had issued coins in gold, silver, copper and billion. His coinage is most complex and innovative of the whole Delhi series. He had issued coins with the different legends. His coins were also struck at the great number of mints which also reflects the extent of his conquests.
