The Titanic – An Epic Movie

Every time the word Titanic comes, our mind is dragged to the epic love story of Rose and Jack and then the horrifying sinking of the ship. The movie was a complete hit winning the hearts of millions!It was released on 19th December 1997 and broke all the records. We all have seen the movie more than once and we still can’t get over it. As we all know it portrays the RMS Titanic, the most iconic ship in history and its tragic story. On 15th April 1912 at 2.20 am the RMS Titanic ship sank when it struck an iceberg. It killed around 1,500 passengers. Lack of enough lifeboats was the main reason why people died in the sinking ship. After this incident, various other rules and regulation were passed by US and Britain Government for the safety of passengers on the ship.
Titanic was an incredible feat of engineering and ambition. It is said that the Titanic carried the few of the richest people in the world. From its construction in Belfast, through its dramatic sinking to the discovery of the wreck, it is a story that continues to capture the public imagination.
The iconic Titanic pose of Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio became very popular and ‘Jack and Rose’ have given us the new couple goals!
In order to honor this gigantic ship and a movie various countries like USA, Canada, Mozambique, Gambia, etc. issued stamps on it.
One beautiful stamp was issued by Scotland of 1 Pound to honor the epic Titanic movie. This set of two stamps depicts the famous Titanic pose of Rose and Jack on one of them and the other depicts Jack greeting Rose.
The movie ends with a beautiful heart touching song ‘My Heart will go on ‘by Celine Dion.
It’s been 19 years of the release of the movie and we still continue to watch.
