Unsold Winged Liberty Head Gold Dimes Up For Sale

From 15th December, 8,000 to 9,000 unsold 2016-W Winged Liberty Head gold dimes from U.S. Mint's inventory will be offered for sale. The unsold coins are returns from individuals or unprocessed orders due to expired credit cards or other such problems. 116,096 of the maximum 125,000 coins were sold. Pricing as of now is $200, based on the Mint's pricing grid for coins containing precious metals.The coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of three classic U.S. coins that were released in 1916: the Winged Liberty Head dime, the Standing Liberty quarter, and the Walking Liberty half-dollar.
The dime and half-dollar were designed by Adolph A. Weinman, while the quarter's designs were the work of Hermon A. MacNeil.
The 2016 gold dime was issued in April, the gold quarter was issued in September, and the gold half dollar was issued in November.
