Innocence in their eyes..
There is something to be learnt from each and every child…

Children's day is celebrated on the 14th of November every year. As a tribute, Children's Day is celebrated on Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday, the first Prime Minister of India, lovingly called as ‘Chacha Nehru' which means Uncle Nehru by the kids. Jawaharlal Nehru gave emphasis to the significance of giving love and affection to children, who are the bright future of India.

The main purpose of this day is to encourage the welfare of children all over the country.

In 1989, a commemorative stamp of Nehru was issued having a face value of INR 1. It depicts the oval portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru with his name below in Hindi and English. It celebrates the centenary of his birth. (1889-1989).

There is one more thing to notice in the stamp.
Nehru’s initials (JN) are seen in between both the years.

Today we are seeing that children being super talented in various fields and on the other hand, we see children exempted from education, forced into labour, suffering from various diseases, etc. We need to bridge the gap between both of these paths.

Indian Government has been making laws for children but we also, on an individual level have to take a stand on it.

So instead of pampering your child with gifts. Make them visit an orphanage and let them realize the importance what they have in their life.
Stop violence against Children. Be kind to them you never know what they are going through and don’t spoil their childhood.

Let’s be children and enjoy this day!
