Canada issued a new 25-cent coin celebrating the theme Canada’s Future. It features a turtle, bird and beaver, with aboriginal patterns and a plant growing out of a pair of hands. The design is symbolic to how Canadian’s are inclined towards protecting its nature.

Wong researched about Canadian wildlife and indigenous art techniques with her teachers to develop her painting of animals commonly represented in aboriginal culture.

Other inscriptions include CANADA, 1867-2017, 25 CENTS, and JW for Wong’s initials.
