10 Rupees Coin, The Reason Behind a Man’s Death

The issue of rumours about fake 10 rupee coins circulating in north India has taken a dreaded turn now. A hotel owner belonging to the Mungisapur area of Kanpur Dehat reportedly beat a man to death. The deceased had offered the hotel owner a Rs 10 coin to settle the bill. Family members of the deceased filed a police complaint. Mahendra (35) had dinner from Krishna dhaba on Friday. The bill was worth Rs 160, Mahendra gave a Rs 10 coin along with notes of other denominations.The hotel owner Singh hit Mahendra with an iron rod. A murder case has been registered against Singh who is on the run.
