Gold Coins Awarded To Help End Violent Dog Menace in Kerala

The heads of panchayats and municipalities across different areas in Kerala which are responsible for killing the most number of stray dogs would b e awarded with a gold coin till 10th December, as announced by Old Students Welfare Association of Pala-based St Thomas College. 4 people have lost their lives and over 700 have been injured due to attacks by stray dogs in the past 4 months. The growing menace of violent dogs has been a big concern since some years now.Air guns are being provided at subsidized rates to deal with violent dogs, the outfit had also offered cash incentives earlier for the same reason. The Association is trying to seek support from the public to fight his menace. The weight of the coins would depend on the amount of money that is raised for this program.
