The Royal Canadian Mint issued a new 2016 $200 Canada’s Icy Arctic 2 oz. Silver Coin which is the fifth and the last release belonging to the Landscapes of the North series which is sold for its face value. The mintage limit of this matte proof collector 62.69 grams coin composed of 99.99% pure silver is 20,000 pieces.The reverse design features a 360-degree image with sleigh and team of dogs, a polar bear, an igloo, a fox, a snowy owl, a hare, a walrus, whale, birds and fish. Other inscriptions include CANADA, 200 DOLLARS, 2016 and the artist Bonnie Ross’s initials BR. Obverses depict the common Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II along with inscriptions of ELIZABETH II and D G REGINA.
