President Ronald Reagan was featured on several world coins. His bust along with that of Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos was featured on the obverse of a 25-piso 1982 piece coin that was released later. His image was also depicted on the reverse of 25-piso and 2,500-piso coins issued in 1986 when President Corazon Aquino visited Washington.

Since last two decades, his image has been featured annually on coins from Liberia. Liberia is Africa’s first republic founded in 1822 due to the American Colonization Society to settle freed American slaves in West Africa.

6 Liberian coins depict Regan from 1998 onwards, including a $5 coin from 2000 which is a part of a series which honours all the American presidents who had served or been elected to that point.
