Counterfeit Forensics LLC is a company founded by Joel Zlotnick who was a former U.S. Secret Service forensic scientist. The company is offering a Counterfeit Detection Training for Individuals and Organizations.

Many latest technologies of production are introduced on substrates on which notes are printed, the printing process itself. Many innovative modern techniques are used to counter the issue of counterfeiting. Public relations programs are used by central banks but the private sector generally does not step in.

The company offers a low-cost online solution which helped the Secret Service seize $156 million worth fake banknotes in 2013. According to the United States Law though, no reimbursement is offered to the victim.

The course covers U.S. paper money designs, watermarks, security threads, colour shifting ink, and the security ribbon. It also shares information about detection pens, ultraviolet lights and their use with security threads and paper, and magnifiers and micro-printing.

Through the course, one can learn how to detect a counterfeit note in about 45 minutes by paying $18 per seat.
