Rare Specimen Notes Offered at the Dix Noonan Webb Auction

On 3rd October, an international coin show in London organized by the British Numismatic Trade Association will include the Dix Noonan Webb auction.The highlight notes offered at the auction includes two specimen notes with an estimated value of £1,000 to £1,500 each. They belong to the Malaya and British Borneo Board of Commissioners of Currency. One is a 21st March 1953 $50 Specimen note and graded Good Very Fine to Extremely Fine. The other is a 1st March 1959 $1 specimen note graded Good Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated.
A Bank of Taiwan 50-yen from 1901 is the highest denomination in its series. This note has an estimated price of £10,000 to £15,000. It has four hole-punches and the characters MI-HON stamped in red.
