Revised Edition of Charlton Guide to Government Canadian Notes
2016-09-23 Fri
The 29th edition of the Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Government Paper Money was released early in August with updated data on current notes, replacement notes and note registry census totals for some rare early and modern notes. The book states that prices are up for some specific notes and grades and down for some, but there is a pattern seen in pricing with some notable adjustments. Gem uncirculated notes have seen a consistent rise in pricing. Error notes are not that highly valued and the market value of fancy notes has also only slightly increased.
There is a considerable appreciation in value for Provincial and municipal notes. Depression scrip values are steady whereas dominion notes are mixed.
The 29th edition of the Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Government Paper Money can be purchased for $34.95 in Canada and $29.95 in the United States from The Charlton Press.
