Parthian Empire Vologases V

Vologases V succeeded his father, Vologases IV, and reigned over the Parthian Empire from 191 CE to 208 CE. When Vologases became the Parthian ruler, he passed the Armenian throne to his son, Khosrov I. The reign of Vologases V is marked by the war with the Roman Empire, lasting from 195 CE to 202 CE. He died in in 208, succeeded by his son Vologases VI.Vologases issued this silver tetradrachm weighing 8.87g. The obverse features a Bust of a king facing left. The reverse features King seated left, receiving wreath from Tyche standing right, holding scepter.
