A Gold Mohur of Queen Victoria, weighing 11.65 grams and minted in Calcutta, was sold for INR 510000 in an auction held in Mumbai on May 5th, 2024.The obverse features Bust of Queen Victoria in the center facing towards left with the initial ‘WW’ incused on truncation Divided legend & date 'VICTORIA QUEEN 1841', Initial WW incused on truncation. The reverse features A Lion facing to the left in front of a Palm tree, the English legend 'EAST INDIA COMPANY, ONE MOHUR' & in Persian 'EK ASHARFI'.
