Very Rare Gold Mohur of Mughal Ruler Alamgir II, sold for INR 1,50,000

Mirza Aziz-ud-Din Muhammad, also known as Alamgir II, ruled the Mughal Empire from 1754 to 1759.Alamgir II issued this gold mohur weighing 10.92g minted at Dar ul-Khilafat Shahjahanabad. The obverse features Persian legend Sikka Mubarak Abu Al Adil Aziz ud Din Badshah Ghazi Muhammad Alamgir within the square, Mint name with epithet and RY in the margin. The reverse features Kalima Shahada with square, name of four khalifa's with title in margin with AH date.
This gold mohur was sold for INR 1,50,000 in an auction held on August 19, 2023.
