Jahanpanah type Silver Rupee of Sher Shah Suri

Sher Shah Suri founded the Suri sultanate in India after defeating Mughal Emperor Humayun in the Battle of Kannauj.Sher Shah Suri issued this 'Jahanpanah' type silver rupee which are found on two dates AH 949 and 950. Obverse features the legend Sher Shah Al-Sultan Khallad Allah Mulkahu Sanah with AH date 949 within circle, Devanagari legend 'sri ser sahi' at the bottom outer circle. The reverse features the legend Shahada within the circle and Al-Sultan Al-Adil in the reverse margin.
