100 Rupee Banknote of Haj Pilgrim

The HAJ banknote, Government of India issued these notes to Indian Haj Pilgrims for exchange with the local currency in Saudi Arabia. These banknotes carried HA prefix to distinguish from other banknotes and were coloured differently as well. These notes were payable at the Bombay office of issue.These banknotes, issued only in the year 1959, signed by RBI Governer HVR Iyengar, are extremely rare.
This Rs 100 HAJ Prilgrim issued was sold for INR 15, 00,000 at Todywalla auction held in Kolkatta on December 21, 2019.
