Gurjara-Partihara had ruled over the part of present-day Gujarat, Malwa, and Ganga Basin from Punjab to Bihar. coinage of Gurjara-Partihara are divided into Vigrahapala dramma, Adivaraha dramma and Vinayaka Dramma.Gurjara Pratihara King Mihira Bhoja or Bhoja I was a devotee of Vishnu and adopted the title ?divar?ha. The coin issued by King Bhoja I bears the title Adivaraha.
King Bhoja I issued this silver Adivaraha Dramma, 3.7g. The obvese of the coin bears Boar or Varaha, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, facing right, holding the earth on his tusks. The reverse of the coin bears Sharada script, ‘Srimadadivaraha'.
