Ram Singh II was the maharaja of Princely State Jaipur between 1835 and 1880. Throughout his reign, he carries out a number of changes that are influenced by British tastes and Western ideals. In order to empower women, he built hospitals and schools during his reign with a special emphasis on women's education.King Sawai Ram Singh II, Silver Nazarana Rupee, 11.41g, was sold for INR 62,500 in an auction held in Mumbai on 8th October 2023.
Obverse: Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Muhammad Bahadur Shah, AH 1256.
Reverse: Julus, manus, maimanat Sahan 3, Zarb Sawai Jaipur with Jhar mint mark.
