Extremely rare gold mohur(10.98g) issued by Independent Kingdom Maratha sold for INR 395000 in an auction held in Mumbai on 8th October 2023.This gold mohur was issued in the name of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II in the Hijri year 1179, during the 6th year of this reign. The obverse features the name and title of Shah Alam II, and the reverse depicts the mint name Burhanpur, with the symbol of a horizontal Shivalinga.
