Kandariya Mahadeva Temple Commemorative Stamp

Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is the largest and most ornate Hindu temple in the Khajuraho temple complex, Madhya Pradesh, India, dedicated to lord Shiva. The temple is one the best examples of the largest and tallest surviving temples, renowned for its Nagara-style architecture.The temple was constructed between 950 CE and 1050 CE by the Chandela Dynasty.
The monuments at Khajuraho were designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986.
India Post issued a commemorative stamp on Kandraya Mahadeva Temple in 1949.
