Indo-Greeks, Demetrius I Silver Tetradrachm Listed with the Estimate price of 80,000 - 90,000

Indo-Greek king Demetrius ruled between 200 BC and 180 BC. He was never defeated in the battle and referred to as "the Unconquered".Demetrius, I issued Silver Tetradrachm amongst other denominations. This 15.95g Tetradrachma features a bust of the king to the right, wearing an elephant skin headdress, complete with its eyes, ears, tusks and trunk. The reverse of the coin features Herakles / Heracles standing, crowning himself with a wreath held in his right hand and holding the club in his left arm draped with lion skin, monogram to inner left, with the legend BASIAEOS AHMHTPIOY on either side.
This silver Tetradrachm is listed with the estimated price of 80,000 - 90,000, which will held in Mumbai on 07 October, 2023.
