Yamunotri Temple Commemorative Stamp

Yamunotri Temple is located in the western region of Garhwal Himalaya region, in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand. The temple is devoted to the goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri temple is consdiered as one of the four sites in India's Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage. There is a hot water springs called 'Surya Kund' located close to the temple, near the Surya Kund there is a shila called 'Divya Shila' which is worshipped before puja is offered to the deity.India Post issued a commemorative stamp featuring Yamunotri Temple on November 29th, 2019.
