Bengal Presidency Gold Pattern Mohur is Listed For INR 3,50,000

The gold pattern mohur of Bengal Presidency is listed for INR 3,50,000 in the upcoming auction of the Classical Numismatic Gallery, which will be held in Kolkatta on the 22nd of this month.This gold mohur was issued by Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II in the Hijri year 1202, in the 19th year of his reign. The Bengal Presidency is also known as the Presidency of Fort William, and later Bengal Province was a subdivision of the British Empire in India. It was a colonial region of British India; today Bengal Presidency split into Bangladesh as well as the following states of India. The obverse side of this gold mohuri inscribed with the name of title of Shah Alam II. The reverse side of this coin is inscribed with the mint name Murshidabad
