Jaya Prakash Narayan also known as JP or Lok Nayak. He was an Indian Independence activist, theorist, socialist and political leader.Jaya Prakash Narayan was born on 11 October 1902 in the village of Sitabdiara, Ballia district, Bihar. Jaya Prakash Narayan was the follower of Mohandas Gandhi and the leader of India's Independence Movement. In 1947, he called 'Sampoorna Kranti', or absolute revolution against corruption and unemployment. His revolution paved a new direction for the country's politics. He urged workers in Bihar to prepare for a long fight to achieve the complete revolution's goals.
The Government of India issued a commemorative stamp in 1980 to commemorate him and his work.
