This gold mohur issued by Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II will be listed in an upcoming auction of Todywalla Auction, which will be held in Mumbai on December 17, 2022. The opening bid for this gold mohur is 1,10,000.Emperor Shah Alam II, also known as Ali Gauhar, was the seventeenth Mughal Emperor and the son of Alamgir II. He ruled the Mughal Empire between 1760 and 1806.
The obverse side of this gold mohur is inscribed with the name and title of Shah Alam Bahadur, and the reverse side of this gold mohur is inscribed with the mint name Mustaqir-al-Khilafat Ajmer. This very rare gold mohur of Shah Alam II weighs around 10.87g and is in very fine condition.
