The Banque de France issued 100 French Francs depicting Paul Cezanne in 1997. The Banque de France issued such banknotes in 12 different denominations, including 100 French Francs banknotes. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2002.Paul Cezanne was French artist and Post-Impressionist painter and the one of the most influential artist on France. He forms a bridge between late 19th century Impressionism and the early 20th century new line of artistic enquiry, Cubism.
The front side of this note features Paul Cezanne on orange-brown colored paper bill contains the words, ‘Banque de France’. The back side of this note features painting of fruit.
