Ruknuddin Firuz was the son of Delhi Sultan Iltutmish, the fouder of Delhi Sultanate. He was the fourth sultan of the Delhi Sultanate from the Mamluk Dynasty. Ruknuddin Firuz ruled this sultanate almost for six months. Before sitting on the throne of the Delhi Sultanate, he served as the Governor of the Royal State of Badayun.Ruknuddin Firuz has lost all qualities of an eligible emperor and engaged himself in physical aristocracy, courteous behavior, and resolved consciousness. Ruknuddin Firuz was a self-endowed person spending maximum time in music. Shah Turkan, the mother of Ruknuddin Firuz, tried to dominate the sultanate, taking advantage of his behavior.
Shah Turkan was a tyrannical ruler and killed many people in her kingdom on her one command. In the year 1236 CE, after the death of Iltutmish, Rukn Al-Din Firuz Shah also got killed.
