Chandrayaan-2 was the second lunar exploration of India developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) after Chandrayaan-I. Chandrayaan-2 consists of a lunar orbiter that includes the Vikram lander and the Pragyan lunar rover developed in India. The main objective of this mission was to take the scientific study of the map and variations in lunar surface composition, as well as the location and abundance of lunar water.

However, Chandrayaan-2 crashed when it deviated from its intended trajectory while attempting to land on 6 September 2019. According to the reports submitted by the ISRO crash was caused due to software glitch.

The Souvenir sheet on Chandrayaan-2 was issued by Togo in 2019.
