World Heart Day is celebrated every year on September 29. Each year cardiovascular disease causes nearly half of the non-communicable diseases in the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), each year, 17.9 million people lose their lives due to heart disease.Today, the modern-day lifestyle has boosted unhealthy lifestyles. The causes of heart disease are tobacco, unhealthy diet, use of alcohol and no physical activity.
World Heart Day allows us to spread awareness about hearts and how best we can take care of our hearts. On this day Global campaign is conducted in which people come together to participate in an activity; take charge of their heart health and others.
