India Post Commemorates Flight of MIG 27

MiG-27 is a ground-attack aircraft, originally built by Soviet Union. Later, became the chief aircraft production of Hindustan Aeronautics, India. The MIG 27 aircraft comes in Different variants such as MiG-27, MiG-27K, MiG-27M, MiG-27D, MiG-27ML and MiG-27H.They currently remain in service with the Indian, Kazakh and Sri Lankan Air Forces. The MIG 27 played a vital role in many wars fought by India, such as Kargil war, Kashmir Blunder and many more.
India Post, hence pay tribute to the achievements of Indian Air Force and to the contribution of MIG 27 aircrafts. MIG 27 aircraft are featured on at least two of the stamps issued to commemorate the service of Indian Air Force which come in with the denominations of RS.5 and Rs.10.
