Kam Bakhsh Silver Rupee Listed For INR 1,10,000

This silver rupee issued by Mughal ruler Kam Bakhsh is listed for INR 1,10,000 in the upcoming online auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery, which will be held on August 06, 2022.Kam Bakhsh was the youngest son of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. He sat on the Mughal throne in 1707 CE, after the death of Aurangzeb and ruled it until 1708 CE. As he sat on the throne of the Mughal Emperor for a short period, therefore; coins minted by him are extremely rare. Kam Bakhsh had assumed the throne at Bijapur and struck coins in his name, and declared himself as PadshahKamBakhsh-i-Dinpanah (Emperor Kam Bakhsh, Protector of Faith).
This silver rupee was issued by the ruler Kam Bakhsh from the mint Daruz-ZafarBijapur, during his first regnal year. The obverse side of this silver rupee is inscribed as Sikkazaddardakkan bar, Khursheed-o-mah, bad shahe kam bakhsh din panah. The reverse side of this silver rupee is inscribed with the mint name with mint epithet (Daruz-ZafarBijapur mint), Jalusmaimanat, manus and Regnal year (Ahad).
