Louis Marie Thérèse Charlotte Isabelle of Orléans was the first queen of the Belgian and the second wife of King Leopold I. King Leopold I was King of the Belgians and Queen Victoria's uncle.

Louis Marie was born in Palermo, the Kingdom of Sicily, and now in Italy, on April 3, 1812, to Louis-Phillippe I, King of France and Maria Amalia of the Two Sicilies. Queen Louise was a shy and introverted personality with weak health. As a queen, Lous Marie rarely participated in public representation, but acted as the political adviser of her spouse.

The National Bank of Belgium, issued this Belgian Franc banknote in 1915. The obverse of this note depicts bust of Louis Marie. These notes were withdrawn from circulation in 1918.
