The five hundred lei banknote is one of the highest circulating denominations of the Romanian leu. The main color of the banknote is gray. It pictures. The obverse of the banknote features Mihai Eminescu - a Romanian Romantic poet from Moldavia, novelist, and journalist, generally regarded as the most famous and influential Romanian poet along with a quill and inkpot.
