Rumi Darwaza Commemorative Stamp

Rumi Darwaza is an incredible structure stand between Bara Imambara and Chota Imambara in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was built by Nawab of Awadh, Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, in 1784. Rumi Darwaza is also known as Turkish Gate because it is modeled after the Bab-i-Humayun gateway in Turkey.The Rumi Darwaza is an incredible structure that stands imposingly 60 feet high. It is a fine example of Awadhi architecture or the Lucknow School of Architecture.
