Solomon Island's 100 Dollar Note

The Solomon Islands is a sovereign group of islands that is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. The Solomon Islands were once a British protectorate and gained independence in 1978. The official currency in the Solomon Islands is the Solomon Islands dollar which replaced the Australian pound sterling in 1977.

Shown above is a 100-dollar note from the Solomon Islands. The banknote features Solomon Island’s flag on a flag pole on the obverse along with the Coat of Arms depicting a crocodile and a shark, ceremonial paddle, coconut bunch, frigate birds with spread wings, and trillium flower, as registration device.

The reverse, on the other hand, depicts one of the most basic professions of the country i.e. coconut farming. Depicted on the reverse is Man climbing a palm tree along with harvesting coconuts, man processing coconuts, and coconut palm trees!
