Preserving Cultural History through Banknotes

To preserve cultural heritage, the Government of any country always promote cultural heritage through various medium. Commemorative Coins, Stamps, and Banknotes are some of the mediums.The Cultural Heritage of any country has great value and importance. They are sites registered by a governmental agency for being of national importance.
Cultural histories are the cultural tradition and cultural interpretations of historical experiences. Government promotes their cultural history; so that people of the country can obverse their culture very closely, right from its roots.
The Reserve Bank of India issued this Rs 100 banknote in 2018. This Rs 100 banknote features 'Rani ki vav' (the queen's stepwell), a stepwell situated in the town of Patan in the Gujarat state of India. This building was constructed by Chalukya king Bhima I, during the 11th Century. This building was rediscovered in the 1940s and restored in the 1980s by the Archaeological Survey of India. It has been listed as one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites since 2014.
