N. G. Ranga Commemorative Stamp

Gogineni Ranga Nayukulu, also known as N. G. Ranga was an Indian Freedom Fighter, parliamentarian, and farmer leader. He was the founding president of the Swantra Party. He was one of those few prominent leaders of India in the Gandhian era of our freedom movement.N. G. Ranga was from an agricultural background in Tamilnadu, South India. His mother died when he was eight years old. He completed his graduation from Andhra-Christian College, Guntur. He received a B.Litt. in Economics from the University of Oxford; in 1926.
N. G. Ranga, was influenced by the thought of Mahatma Gandi and joined the Indian Freedom Movement in 1930. He had served as a member of the Central Legislative Assembly, Constituent Assembly and Provisional Parliament, the Rajya Sabha, and the Lok Sabha.
